PolarInstall

🚧 Coming. PolarInstall is the installer for the plan, guided, express and unattended levels (see the Introduction). Until it ships, use the manual guides, starting with Install PolarBot.

PolarInstall will be one static binary with a terminal interface:

• polarinstall plan prints the exact commands it would run (the same as the manual pages) and changes nothing; polarinstall asks every choice with a default; --express asks only for the Discord bot token (and the Minecraft EULA, when a Minecraft server is installed); --config answers.toml --yes runs unattended.
• install, update, status, rollback, doctor and uninstall (which keeps your data unless you ask otherwise).
• It only runs what it has verified: it downloads a signed release manifest, checks the signature and every file’s SHA-256 (Verify a release signature by hand) and never pipes a remote script into a shell.
• Every step has a check, an action and an undo; a failed step undoes the steps of that run.
